by trade I have developed apps in many websites so my comments are coming from a place of not being ignorant about the technology here. We had the idea to create a Bible Note Taking app but capitalized on the global lockdown to upskill ourselves and learn how to code a mobile app. Most responses are one-liners that do not acknowledge a problem, offer a ridiculous solution, or at best expressed there is no ETA for a fix for these issues. To add insult to injury, some of BSF’s technical support (maybe outsourced?) is quite snarky, dismissive and under equipped to actually assist class members.
Also nine times out of 10 you can not close the iOS keyboard making it impossible to navigate your next step. The questions audio player at the top of the screen takes up an obnoxious amount of space and you cannot close it. There is tremendous lag and syncing problems that have caused my and my wife’s answers to lessons to be erased multiple times.
With that said this year’s new app is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. The Crossway ESV Bible HD should find a lot of use on the iPad. NeuBible is an intuitive gesture-based Bible study tool for iPhone users that allows users to highlight and copy verses by tapping, holding, and dragging their. Been in BSF for many years including leadership roles.
